25μm Bright White Aluminized PET Tire Label Material: Reliable Labelling Solution for Rough Rubber Surfaces

For tire manufacturers and rubber-product processors, label failure remains a persistent, costly headache. Labels peeling off curved rubber surfaces, smudged barcodes, faded text and illegible traceability codes are common issues when standard label materials are applied directly onto vulcanized tyres. Rubber exudes plasticizers, paraffin wax and release agents over time; these chemical residues break down ordinary adhesives and penetrate thin facestocks, causing curling, delamination and unreadable marking during warehousing, transit and inventory management. Against this background, 25μm bright-white aluminized PET tire label stock (Model PTMM55) is engineered specifically for challenging rubber substrates. It delivers stable long term adhesion and very good barrier performance for tyre identification, batch coding, QR-code traceability and industrial rubber component marking.

The material is built in a three-layer structure: 25μm bright white aluminized PET face stock, high-performance rubber-based tire adhesive and 120g imported CCK white silicon-coated liner. Every layer is optimized to withstand the unique working conditions of tire labelling.

The 25±3μm bright-white aluminized PET facestock weighs 35±4 g/m², with an aluminium coating on its reverse side and a semi-gloss smooth top surface. PET film features high tensile strength, tear resistance and solid thermal stability, resisting abrasion from stacking, handling and transportation. The internal aluminium layer acts as a critical chemical barrier. It slows migration of oily rubber additives, preventing discoloration, blurring and print deterioration on the label surface. Brand logos, technical specifications and traceability barcodes stay legible for extended periods of storage. The bright white top coating is print-friendly for flexo, offset and other conventional printing methods, delivering sharp text and vibrant graphics for premium grade tire branding.

Adhesive performance defines the success of any tire label. PTMM55 uses custom formulated heavy duty rubber based adhesive with coating weight of 50-70 g/m². Its peel strength reaches ≥16 N/25 mm with high initial tack and holding power over 5 hours under standard testing. This adhesive flows well into uneven, porous rubber textures and forms a firm bond even on heavily curved tire sidewalls. It maintains adhesion despite residual mould-release agents on fresh vulcanized rubber. The recommended labelling temperature ranges from 5℃ to 30℃, with service temperature down to 0℃. It tolerates temperature fluctuations in warehouses and outdoor logistics environments. Besides rubber tyres, the adhesive also performs well on metal and certain rough rigid substrates for multi-purpose industrial identification.

The backing liner is 120±5 g/m² imported CCK white silicon coated paper. Clay coated kraft CCK liner offers outstanding stiffness and dimensional stability with uniform silicone coating and consistent release force. Compared with ordinary glassine liners, CCK liner greatly reduces stretching, die-cut cracking and waste stripping failures during converting. It works smoothly on both rotary and flat bed die-cutting equipment, lowering material waste for label converters and improving overall production efficiency.

Primary applications cover passenger car tyres, commercial vehicle tires, off-road rubber products and spare rubber parts. The material is widely used for printed labels showing tire size, production batch numbers, serial codes, QR traceability data and brand information. It is also suitable for marking curved rough surface workpieces, heavy-duty warehouse tags and special purpose industrial stickers requiring strong chemical barrier properties.

Several processing guidelines should be followed for good results. Use PET compatible inks for printing; excessive ink viscosity may damage the top printed coating. Maintain moderate tension during rewinding to avoid adhesive oozing from label edges. Store raw rolls at 20℃ and 50% relative humidity. Under recommended conditions, shelf life is 12 months. Keep rolls away from direct sunlight, high heat and damp storage areas.

Important note: All technical data above comes from controlled laboratory tests and serves for reference only, not as a performance guarantee. We strongly recommend customers carry out on-site application tests on your actual rubber substrates, under real-world operating conditions, before mass production. Pre-sampling verification helps avoid large-scale conversion or end product rejection.
